It’s a bummer that These Arms Are Snakes broke up so abruptly in 2009. During the band’s last recording session ever they recorded four songs — all of which were released except one, their cover of Lost Sounds’ “Energy Drink & The Long Walk Home.”
Of all the bands taking a dirt nap that we wish would resurrect, These Arms Are Snakes have to be our favorite. The band broke up in 2009, but we can still feel its venom in our bloodstream. Was their 2008 album Tail Swallower and Dove not the biz?
As you know, Record Store Day was over the weekend and lots of bands put out lots of stuff. But perhaps one of the most notable releases was the long-awaited Nirvana tribute album put out by Robotic Empire. Are you a Nirvana fan? Because Robotic Empire will be putting out their long-awaited Nirvana covers album, featuring renditions of tracks by Thursday, Circa Survive, Daughters, These Arms Are Snakes, and more. Ah yes — caught your eyes, didn’t it?
