The Ocean will release a live DVD featuring their performance at Summer Breeze Festival in Germany last month. A release date is to be announced.

The Ocean will join The Devin Townsend Project on its upcoming North American trek in October. Dates follow:
The Ocean’s U.S. touring plans for October/November have been canceled.
The band comments, “Today is a shit day. Our upcoming US tour just fell apart. We had been confirmed for quite a while for a direct support slot on a good 6-weeks US tour in October and November, and yesterday it was decided that this tour is now being postponed to late November into December. We are not available at that time. Our flights to the US have already been booked for weeks, and we’ve been left high and dry again… somehow we’re just not lucky over there it seems!”
The Ocean will head to China in September/October for the Firmament Above China Tour. Dates follow:
The Ocean is at work on new material.
“After two weeks of creative isolation at the new Oceanland on the Spanish coast, there are about 25 minutes of new material written and pre-produced which are basically one continuous piece of music,” guitarist Robin Staps commented. “Apart from that, there are 4 more songs, including a wicked cover track.”
The group will enter the studio in early 2012 to begin tracking the upcoming release, or what could be multiple releases, as hinted by Staps.
