The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato will be performing the song “Rise of the Fallen” with Soulfly at D-Low Memorial Show on August 28 at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ.
Puciato co-wrote “Rise of the Fallen”, which appears on the band’s latest offering, “Omen”.
The D-Low show is held annually in memory of Max Cavalera’s stepson, Dana Wells, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 1996.
Former Soulfly bassist Bobby Burns has started a new band with ex-Stuck Mojo frontman Bonz called Killer In The Workplace. Burns addresses his recent departure from Soulfly and announces his new project in the video below.
Soulfly released an official statement on parting way with bassist Bobby Burns.
“As was announced by Roadrunner Records, Soulfly have indeed parted ways with bassist Bobby Burns. The split was completely amicable and there was no animosity on either side.
Earlier yesterday, Bobby posted the following message on his Twitter page in regards to the decision: ‘To all the fans… Soulfly and I have decided to part ways. Stay tuned for my next projects already in the works. Thanks 4 ur support!!!’
Johny Chow, who plays with Max and Marc in Cavalera Conspiracy (and is also a member of Fireball Ministry), will be loaning his skills to upcoming Soulfly tours for the immediate future until the position is filled. Fans will be able to check out this lineup of the band out on the second leg of the Omen tour beginning at the end of July. Soulfly has parted ways with bassist Bobby Burns. Burns commented via Twitter stating:
