The new album from RX Bandits is something else. Titled Gemini, Her Majesty, the record may be some of the best material the group has released to date. We’ve been spinning it on repeat since it came out last week, particularly the track “Stargazer,” which the band just put out a new video for.

Things are about to get beastie later next week when RX Bandits kick off their lengthy summer tour with The Dear Hunter. Their forthcoming album Gemini, Her Majesty comes out later in the month, and we have high hopes that it’ll be an appropriate follow-up to their 2009 monumental album Mandala.
What would summertime be without RX Bandits? We peed our pants a teeny bit when we found out they are gonna be doing a US tour with The Dear Hunter. They’ll be out in July and August supporting their long-awaited follow up to 2009’s Mandala with a new record titled Gemini, Her Majesty.
We learned all about RX Bandits when we interviewed them last summer. You know they have a secret studio in SoCal called The Elizabethan — which is basically a garage converted into a studio at Matt Embree’s mom’s house? We asked them what went down there — “A lot of parties, a lot of different recordings,” Embree said. Even the bulk of writing for The Resignation happened in the hideout.
