The new band Sumac, featuring former Isis vocalist/guitarist Aaron Turner and Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn, took the stage for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. They played their first show at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC where they opened for Deafheaven and were joined by Brian Cook of Russian Circles on bass.
Russian Circles and Helms Alee will head overseas for a UK/European tour in the spring.
A couple months ago we told you about Sumac, a new project featuring former Isis vocalist/guitarist Aaron Turner and Baptists drummer Nick Yacyshyn. They recently finished work on their debut album The Deal and it’s coming out in February.
A whole bunch of dates have been added to Russian Circles’ 10th Anniversary Tour with Mutoid Man opening on East Coast and Mamiffer opening on West Coast.
Oh this will be fun. Russian Circles and Mutoid Man will be doing a trio of East Coast shows together in December.
