Minus the Bear has tapped former keyboardist and producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, The Blood Brothers) to handle production duties for its new album.

Minus The Bear is currently demoing material, and will enter the studio in January to begin tracking its fifth studio album.

Minus The Bear will release limited edition vinyl/cassette reissues of 2001’s This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic EP and the 2002’s debut album Highly Refined Pirates on October 4th via Suicide Squeeze in celebration of their 10th anniversary.
The reissues will be limited to a vinyl run of 2,000 each, with 300 cassettes available for both releases. The records have been remastered, and will include a digital download to all tracks.
Minus The Bear will hit the road for a US tour in fall to celebrate its 10th anniversary, in which the band will perform its Highly Refined Pirates album in entirety. Dates follow:
