Chimaira’s Chris Spicuzza Quits Band
Chimaira keyboardist/programmer Chris Spicuzza has left the band.
“As of early January I decided to leave Chimaira,” he tells ThePRP. “The choice was extremely tough and stewed around in my mind for quite awhile. Many things led to this decision. The situation in Chimaira had ultimately become a negative environment that I had to get out of. Secondly, the music industry is completely fucked and honestly, I became concerned for my future. Chimaira Bassist Quits Band
Chimaira bassist Jim LaMarca has quit the band, and will be temporarily replaced by Emil Werstler of Daath. The band released the following statement:
“After a decade of good times and achievements, our friend and band mate Jim LaMarca has decided to retire from Chimaira. We wish him nothing but the best as he settles in and starts a family. As for seeking a replacement…we’ll cross that bridge down the line. In the meantime, consider it ‘business as usual’ with the Chimaira you know and love.
Emil Werstler will be handling the bass duties for the rest of the year, and we’ll see you on the road!”
