It’s been a few months since we talked about the mighty Barrows. The Los Angeles instrumental monstrosity put out their sophomore album Red Giant this past spring, and it’s been on our Spotify playlist ever since. Having recorded the effort with Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Tool), the album — to sum it up with one word — is colossal.
Barrows are Touring the West Coast
Raise the roof! The mighty Barrows will be going on their first West Coast trek this month in support of their recently released album Red Giant. They’ll hit a number of stops in Cali and will make their way up to Seattle.
We’re pretty sure Neil deGrasse Tyson is stoked on the new Barrows album. With tracks like “Nebula” and “Black Hole,” how could any astrophysicist not be a little turned on? The spacey/instrumental quartet’s new album Red Giant came out earlier this week, and it’s the soundtrack you want when taking your journey across the cosmos.
Aren’t these some fine lookin’ gentlemen? Don’t let their dashing appearances fool you though because deep down there’s a snarling beast patiently waiting to be summoned.
