Alice In Chains vocalist William DuVall is at work producing a documentary film on Atlanta’s hardcore punk scene, tentatively called All Alone Together.
The film documents two generations of the city’s scene, from the beginnings in the early 1980s to the present day. Further details on the project have yet to be revealed.
Alice In Chains have issued a statement on the death of original band bassist Mike Starr, whose body was found in a Salt Lake City home yesterday.
“Members of Alice in Chains are mourning the loss of their friend and ask that the media respect their privacy – and the privacy of the Starr family – during this difficult time. Their thoughts & prayers are with the Starr family.”

Starr’s body was found in a Salt Lake City home today. No details have been revealed as to the cause of death.
Starr was the original bassist for Alice In Chains, performing with the band since its formation in 1987 to 1993.
He was 44 years old.
