JUNIUS to Release New Album “Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light”

by | Jan 12, 2017

That’s a long album title! Nonetheless we’re stoked to hear it. Junius are back with their first new record in three years. And it’s coming in March.

Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light is a 10-track effort that rounds out the band’s conceptual trilogy. A trilogy that started back in 2009 with The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist, followed by 2011’s Reports from the Threshold of Death.

Now a few things have changed with the band since then. The biggest change is that the new album was written entirely by vocalist/guitarist Joseph E. Martinez and was recorded with producer Will Benoit (Caspian, Rosetta). What’s the inspiration behind the record? Elisabeth Haich’s autobiography Initiation. We’ll get the Cliff’s Notes on that later.

Oh yeah we forgot to mention guest appearances! Say what up to Drew Speziale of Circle Takes the Square and Gian Minardi, formerly of General Public. They’ll be making cameos.

New music and tour dates… all that’s coming soon.

Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light is due March 3rd through Prosthetic.
