Are We Getting New ORBS (BTBAM, ex-Fear Before) This Fall?

by | Aug 13, 2014

We’ve been waiting a long while for new Orbs material, a follow up to their 2010 album Asleep Next To Science. The band, featuring Dan Briggs (Between The Buried and Me, Trioscapes) and Adam Fisher (ex-Fear Before, All Human) apparently had new stuff written for a while, and this fall we may actually get a taste of what’s been cooking.

The band recently wrapped up mixing sessions for their forthcoming record with Will Yip. According to him the new material sounds like “space rock meets Zappa.” We can dig that.

Also, it appears that Orbs will be releasing a 7″ of sorts in October, likely a precursor to their new album. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.

For now, here’s some footage of them playing a show in Louisville, KY back in 2010.
