The Dillinger Escape Plan performing with Mike Patton in NYC

by | Nov 9, 2017

What a way to go out! The Dillinger Escape Plan will be doing a trio of New York City farewell shows in December — and Mike Patton will be joining one of them.

The band will be taking over Terminal 5 in NYC on December 27th, 28th and 29th. These three shows will be the last Dillinger shows ever, marking an end to their 20-year career.

Patton — know for a slew of projects including Faith No More, Mr. Bungle and Fantomas — will be teaming up with the band for night 1, December 27th. They’ll be performing 2002’s Irony Is A Dead Scene EP in its entirety.

Now for a quick history lesson: Dillinger recorded the EP back in 2001 with Patton on vocals. It was shortly after parting ways with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, but before recruiting Greg Puciato. When it was finally released the following year, the band had already been touring with Puciato for several months.

Anyways, the NYC farewell shows will surely be nights to remember. On their final show (December 29th) they’ll be joined by Code Orange and Daughters.

And since we’re in the mood, here’s Irony Is A Dead Scene in full.
