SUMAC Releasing “Before You I Appear” Remixes EP

by | Sep 26, 2016

Sometimes you’ve gotta change things up and shake it around. That’s what Sumac is doing with their new EP, Before You I Appear. The band is releasing a limited 12″ EP featuring remixes of songs from their latest album What One Becomes.

Before You I Appear clocks in around 30 minutes and includes remixes done by Samuel Kerridge, Bleed Turquoise (aka James Ginzburg of Emptyset), Kevin Drumm, and Japan’s ENDON.

These reconfigured tracks get pretty chaotic — below you can hear Bleed Turquoise’s remix of “Clutch of Oblivion.”

If you’re looking for more chaos in your life, Sumac will be performing at Southwest Terror Fest in Tucson, AZ on October 20th. And in December they’ll be joining Neurosis and YOB for a pair of dates in the Pacific Northwest.

Before You I Appear is due out December 9th via Thrill Jockey.

SUMAC tour dates:

Oct 20 Tucson, AZ @ Southwest Terror Fest at 191 Toole
Dec 19 Seattle, WA @ Neuomo’s w/ Neurosis, YOB
Dec 20 Vancouver, BC @ The Venue w/ Neurosis, YOB
