TIM LAMBESIS Files $35 Million Lawsuit after Developing Man Boobs

by | Sep 22, 2016

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about former As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis. He’s been serving a six year prison sentence for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife. And it doesn’t sound like things are looking up. Today it surfaced online that he’s suing a California medical team for $35 million after developing gynecomastia, enlarged breasts.

Lambesis says that the San Diego County Vista Detention Facility neglected his medical needs. He had been getting off steroids, and in order to combat the negative side effects of withdrawal — ie. man boobs — he’d need to be administered the drug anastrozole.  And since he didn’t get it, he experienced “exponential terror.”

Here’s an excerpt from the legal document filed earlier this year:

Plaintiff alleges that Defendant [Mary] Abiaro failed to log his anastrozole prescription into his medical record. Plaintiff claims that this negligent act resulted in a delay in receiving the medication, and in the interim, a denial of necessary medical treatment. Plaintiff states that he was not seen by a physician until his transfer to a different facility on May 25, 2014. Plaintiff alleges that as a result of not receiving his medication for that ten day period, he experienced “exponential terror” as he “contemplated the very potentials [sic] of my suffering male breast development.” Complaint ¶ 8. Plaintiff avers that he now suffers from gynecomastia due to the hormonal imbalance caused by the failure to receive his prescribed medication until July 17, 2014.

Defendant Abiaro moves to dismiss Plaintiff’s medical negligence claim, as well as his claim against her for punitive damages.
