At The Gates: Are They Writing New Music?

Do you remember when we did that interview with Dark Tranquillity, where Mikael Stanne talked in depth about the Gothenburg metal scene?

He had some kind things to say about At The Gates (who doesn’t?), one of the bands that pioneered the influential Swedish music community.

So what are At The Gates up to these days? Since their second reunion in 2010, the band have just been doing scattered festival dates and one-off shows — at least, that’s what it’s been until now.

Earlier this week At The Gates posted a teaser hinting at the possibility of new music. We weren’t sure what to make of it, but then today they released another video teaser. And as you know, we like to jump to conclusions. So we’re going to come out and say that new music is in the works.
