Kyuss Lives! Now Vista Chino; Nick Oliveri Rejoins & Guests on New QOTSA Track

by | Nov 29, 2012

Following a lawsuit earlier this year over rights to the band name Kyuss, Kyuss Lives! have changed their name to Vista Chino.

In March, ex-Kyuss members Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and Scott Reeder filed a federal lawsuit for trademark infringement and consumer fraud, ultimately forcing the name change.

The group will officially move forward under the new moniker after their appearance at next year’s Soundwave Festival in Australia.

In other news, bassist Nick Oliveri has rejoined the group.

Interestingly enough, Oliveri recorded guest vocals on a new Queens of the Stone Age track. The new QOTSA record will not only feature contributions from Oliveri and drums done by Dave Grohl, but Trent Reznor will make an appearance as well.
