After The Burial ‘Pendulum’ Video Delayed Due to Legal Issues with Conservative Catholics

by | Apr 29, 2011

After The Burial has been forced to delay the release of its “Pendulum” music video, after receiving legal heat from conservative Catholics for lewd conduct that took place during filming.

The concept of the video, filmed in December, was to have the band invade an all girls Catholic school, with crew members encouraging the women to “let loose.”

During filming, the women on set reportedly began grinding on each other, in addition to other inappropriate lewd conduct, offending the Catholic chaperones present.

A cease and desist notice was sent to the director’s production company, delaying the release of the video.

The band will film a new video for the track “Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You” next week with director Scott Hansen (Alesana, Animals As Leaders).
